Style Icon: Kylie Jenner

Whether you like her or hate her, one thing is undeniable: Kylie Jenner is EVERYWHERE.  From the Kylie lip challenge, to starring in Tyga’s music videos, to launching a wildly successful cosmetics line, Kylie’s influence and individual aesthetic have been permeating the media for well over a year now.  That being said, although she hasn’t been in my head for very long, her style often comes to mind when I’m shopping or planning my looks for the next day. For this look, I channeled Kylie by wearing cuffed light wash denim and a sleek and sporty black crop top in an attempt to emulate her California cool.  I wore my black suede heels and cropped fuzzy jacket to give an otherwise ordinary look a more Kardashian/Jenner vibe.  A Kylie look wouldn’t be complete without a sleek handbag, and although I don’t exactly have a wardrobe full of Célines, I went with a minimalist black bag.  To get Kylie’s beauty look, I painted my nails with Kylie’s Sinful Colors nail polish and lined my lips with a nude/pinkish color – similar to Koko K from Kylie’s lip kit.  Pro tip: if you’re stumped as to what to wear in the morning, just ask yourself, WWKD (What would Kylie do)?
