Hey, everyone! I’m finally back (I know, long time no see) with a beauty review post! Today I’m talking hair, which, quite frankly, I haven’t really done much of on here. Anyway, you guys all know what my hair normally looks like (straight/wavy-ish on a good day)- so I had a BLAST experimenting with the CHoPstick Styler from Lee Stafford Hair! The rectangular barrel is super skinny and it’s designed to give you super tight 80s style curls. Now, I am a n00b when it comes to hair curlers, and I also have thiqq hair, so this was TRULY an experience.
When you purchase the CHoPstick Styler, you get the Styler and also a handy dandy glove so you don’t burn your hand off (the Styler reaches a whopping 400 degrees or so)! The glove fits either your left or right hand, which is fantastic for all you lefties out there like myself. Once you put the glove on and plug it in, you’re ready to start styling!
To use your styler, wrap a strand of hair around the barrel and hold the barrel vertically. The instruction guide says to leave the hair on there for 3-5 seconds, but this is where room for experimentation comes in. Leaving it on there for longer or shorter periods of time will change the curl. Keep going until all of your hair has been done.
Fluff out the strands for a full-bodied, defined look. DON’T brush it out- your hair will become poofy and disheveled, use your fingers to comb through.
My hair grew to at least 3 times its normal size, and even though I have a lot of practicing and experimenting to do, this made for such a fun afternoon. The styler is very high quality and lives up to its promise. And, surprise!! For those of you who read all the way to the end, I’ve teamed up with Lee Stafford Hair to host a giveaway of the CHoPstick Styler!!! That’s right, you can win one of your own by entering below! The winner will be announced on February 20th. Click the link below to enter and good luck ❤
