Hey, everyone! Now that I’m back in NY, my skin has calmed down so much. Something about the Chicago air just didn’t do it for my skin, I guess. Nevertheless, I’ve recently revamped my entire skincare routine with different products. I’m totally hooked on all of these products so I decided to share my routine with you all! Skincare is super important to me and these products are on the pricier side but my skin is the clearest and brightest it’s been in a while. These products are good for all skin types!
1. Moisturizer: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Moisturizing Gel
My most devoted readers probably know that I had a thing for the Clinique Moisture Surge moisturizer, but honestly this one from Neutrogena does the same thing and it’s only half the price. Consider me converted.
2. Cleanser: Boscia Detoxifying Black Cleanser
This was an impulse purchase while waiting in line at Sephora but WOW does it work! This cleanser comes out of the pump at a warm temperature and works so much better than the Boscia Cleansing Stick. I have to go back and buy a bigger size; I’m a huge fan of this cleanser.
3. Serum: Ole Henriksen Truth Serum
This serum is for brightening your skin- the vitamin C works to make your skin radiant and glowing. I don’t eat a lot of vitamin C (not really a fruit person) so I bought this serum to pick up the slack!
4. Toner: Milk Makeup Matcha Toner
I’m obsessed with stick products- so the packaging of this toner really stood out to me. Matcha green tea is really soothing for the skin (I’ve used the St. Ives Green Tea scrub in the past) so I love finishing off my routine with this toner stick! Glides on so smooth- no need for fingers!
5.Spot treatment: Oxy On-the-Go Acne Stick
Ok, y’all, this spot treatment from Oxy has been described as the Tide to Go Pen of skincare. It’s AMAZING. I love it so much and it totally works to clear and heal breakouts. I put this on twice a day and when I feel a pimple coming on I rub this on like crazy to stop it from getting any worse. This is totally portable and essential I cannot recommend it enough. I bought mine at Target so check the skincare aisle there!
I never struggled with acne until I moved to Chicago for college. It takes so long to figure out what works and what doesn’t, but the Boscia cleanser and Oxy spot treatment have done wonders for clearing my breakouts. Moisturizer is also essential for dry/combo skin. The serum and toner are kind of extra, but infusing your skin with vitamins and essential oils is not only important for preventing breakouts but for anti-aging as well. It’s so crucial to establish healthy skin habits and to adapt your habits as your skin changes. I hope you guys enjoyed reading this post and if you know of any miracle skin products, feel free to share in the comments! Take care xo
