The Printed Blouse: A Style Guide

Hey, everyone! Since I started my full-time job, I’ve made a conscious effort to up my printed blouse game. I recently popped into & Other Stories for the first time and picked up a couple of new blouses that really make a statement. The other blouses in my wardrobe are cute, but their quality isn’t really up to par. For my job, I’m expected to look chic and ~expensive~. I don’t have the budget for a designer wardrobe, so that means I have to pay extra attention to the quality of the pieces I buy. This poppy print blouse is more expensive than my other pieces, but it will most likely last longer and frankly, it looks less cheapo.

I wanted to bring out the red in the poppies, so I styled this blouse with my red skater skirt. For this post in particular, I thought that pairing it with a red skirt was more interesting than styling it with black jeans or a black skirt. I’ll be styling it with those pieces irl, however. I’ve also been wearing my black booties EVERYWHERE since I got them, so naturally, I threw those on, too.

Totally in love with that blouse! I would probably tuck mine into a pair of mom jeans and pair it with a red lipstick, but I’m super into that red skirt! Great look, Emily!
