Home » Milk Makeup Review
Hey, everyone! I’m here today to talk about SEVEN products (more than usual) from Milk Makeup. You guys requested I do a Milk Makeup review on my Twitter waaaaay back and it’s finally here. I received these mini products for the holidays courtesy of my mom (you can see more of what I received in my latest YouTube video if you’re curious). Milk Makeup is a brand that has generated a lot of buzz, so I was very excited to see what all the fuss is about.

This was a gift set, so all seven mini items came packaged in a jelly Milk Makeup bag. They also threw in a Saturn sticker which was such a cute touch!
DOES IT ACTUALLY WORK?
This product won’t replace my moisturizer, but I did actually feel a cooling, tingling sensation when I used it! My moisturizer isn’t currently in a travel-friendly container, so I’ll definitely be throwing this in my makeup bag to use on getaways.
DOES IT ACTUALLY WORK?
Uhhh…sorta? While this blur stick felt creamy and soothing to put on, I don’t think it’s very effective as a primer. While this is very lightweight, it does not offer the coverage you may be seeking in a primer. You’re better off going with a traditional primer for minimizing pores.
MAKEUP LOOK #1 (highlighter, bronzer, lipstick)
This is me with no makeup except for highlighter:
While I applied this, I was comparing it to the NYX highlighter stick that I reviewed previously. I’d say the application of this stick definitely requires less force and pressure than the NYX one. One light swoop is all you need.
Ok, I gotta be honest, when I saw how dark this highlighter is, I was so worried that it wasn’t going to be right for my skin tone. However, the seemingly dark pigment blended so well into my skin and it didn’t look weird or unnatural at all!
I could feel the smoothness and buttery-ness of this highlighter on my face for a good portion of the day. However, by the time the evening rolled around, it had faded.
In the above photo, I am BARELY touching this to my face, y’all. I am SUNKISSED.
I love how smooth, easy, and buttery this bronzer feels! It was so easy and effortless to apply.
Holy LORD is this PIGMENTED! I swiped VERY lightly and my skin was instantly a dark brown shade. You don’t need to put in much effort to receive full payout, that’s for sure.
Ok, so I don’t actually know how long this stayed on for because I wasn’t checking myself in a mirror all day. My guess is this lasted about the same amount of time as the highlighter, 3/4 of the workday.
After I ate food:
This lipstick is so soft and creamy. Like the other Milk products, it glides on so beautifully.
I was honestly really surprised by how pigmented this is. In the Milk Makeup advertising and branding, they often show a more sheer, blotted lip look, so I didn’t think this lipstick would offer me full coverage. I was happily proven wrong!
Alright, as you can see in the third picture. this came off after I ate lunch like most lipsticks do. Don’t wear this if you’re planning on eating :/
MAKEUP LOOK #2 (holographic stick, glitter stick)
LOOK AT THIS FREAKING GLOWWWWWW my goodness
I did put more pressure on this product just to make sure I was getting full coverage and boy, did it pay off. I was so a-glow in every type of lighting.
The color, as you can see, is absolutely stunning. It’s so glam yet not too crazy looking. I’m in love.
This baby stayed on alllll day long. I checked in the mirror throughout the day and it was still kickin’ it. Incredible.
Once again, this was super easy to apply. No pressure is needed, TRUST ME. You will look like a unicorn with little effort with this glitter stick.
This is pigmented AF. I barely swiped and I instantly looked like I had eaten glitter. This look made me feel like a freakin’ Spice Girl or early 2000s Britney Spears. To be clear, I also layered this look with my Glossier lip gloss to complete the vibe.
I decided to use the glitter stick on my lips to truly test it’s staying power. Unsurprisingly, as a statement lip, it did not pass the food eating test. I’m sure it lasts much longer as a highlighter or an eyeshadow, but for a lip look, this is only good if you’re not planning on consuming food.
And so concludes my Milk Makeup review!
Milk Makeup slayed in the application category, which is no surprise because stick products are known for their ease! The pigmentation of these products was also pleasantly powerful. These sticks, as bomb as they are, are NOT made to last all day, sadly. The best item of this bunch, by far, is the holographic stick. I will also definitely be taking some of these minis with me while I travel (looking at you, Cooling Water). I wouldn’t say I had a bad experience with this brand, but besides the cool packaging and ease of use, this brand is, overall, not worth all the dough $$$.
If, after reading this review, you’re curious about sampling different Milk Makeup products than the ones I did here, I recommend these value/travel sets:
