How to Mix Stripes with Leopard Print

Hey, everyone! Today’s editorial is dedicated to my most recent dive into pattern mixing! I normally don’t mix patterns these days (although I totally used to in high school). However, I was feeling inspired to do so after looking at images on Pinterest after I bought this FAB leopard coat off of Poshmark. Both leopard and stripes are neutrals in their own right, and I think they look chic (and not too “out there”) together!

If you’re going to pair stripes with leopard print, my tip is to stick to one color scheme. Since most leopard coats are a combo of browns and blacks, opting for a black and white striped shirt like I did is the perfect complement. I wore black jeans and my black Doc Martens to really balance things out. This look is fashion forward without really trying too hard, gotta love that!

Hahaha I’m having flashbacks to Stacy and Clinton on What Not To Wear. They taught me everything I know about pattern mixing and would for sure approve of this outfit!

I never would have thought to mix these two patterns together, but it totally works! This is a fun look. I’ve been trying to get myself to add more color to my wardrobe and from there hopefully I’ll be able to branch out to patterns. I’m definitely in the earthy, browns and blacks lately and trying to break out of it!
    Thanks for sharing!

I love this outfit! I think the print mixing works here because both the color of the stripes and the leopard print are neutrals!
