7 Facebook Groups for Growing Your Blog and Social Media

Hey everyone! I’ve gotten quite a few DMs about how I’ve grown my social media these past few months (mostly about my Instagram). The answer? Facebook groups. Facebook may be slowly dying for things like personal use and news consumption, but using Facebook groups for growing your blog and social channels is such a clever and might I add *FREE* way to gain incredible exposure. Never again am I paying for Instagram/Facebook ads when these groups give me even better results at no cost!

After experiencing substantial growth over these past few months, I felt compelled to write this roundup of the best Facebook groups for growing your blog. I recommend joining all of the groups in this post, but if you’re looking to grow a certain platform, I’ve organized these groups by what they’re best for.

facebook groups for growing your blog

Millennial Blogger Network: Want 10-15 guaranteed comments on your blog posts? The MBN has the best blog comment threads! This is because the moderators in this group make sure that everyone leaves comments on every other person’s post in each thread- no need to worry about someone dropping their link and ditching all together. It’s fun to read the comments people write on your posts and I also love doing these threads to see what other bloggers are writing about.

Bloggers Supporting Bloggers: This group has threads for commenting, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram, but I find the most success with the Facebook thread. Each time I drop my Facebook page, I get at least 3-5 new page likes. I’d get the same results if I spent $20 on Facebook ads, let’s be real. If you’re sick of paying for Facebook ads to get likes, this group is here to help.

GSM for Bloggers: I find that this group is best for Twitter. The Twitter threads require you to follow 20 new users, the 10 users that post above you in the thread and the 10 that post below you. This means that each time you participate in the Twitter thread, you’ll gain about 20 followers.

Boss Girl Bloggers: This group is incredible for Instagram simply due to the sheer volume of bloggers who drop their links. The bloggers in this group are super encouraging and enthusiastic. The Instagram threads in this group are fantastic for not only growing your IG but for discovering new accounts and making new blogger friends.

Beauty and the Vlog: This is the Facebook group for Erika Viera’s podcast, Beauty and the Vlog. Although the podcast is focused on helping out YouTubers, their Instagram thread is amazing, again, because it’s mandatory reciprocation. If you want people to follow you on Instagram, guaranteed, then this group’s Instagram thread is the place for you.

Blog Boss Babes: It’s pretty bizarre that it’s easier to grow your views on Pinterest than followers! If you’re interested in gaining more followers on Pinterest, BBB’s got you.

Em-Ology: The threads in this group are plentiful. You can grow multiple platforms by being an active and engaged member of this group.

There are more blogger groups out there, but this is just a short list of my favorite Facebook groups for growing your blog. Are you in any great groups that I haven’t listed here? Share with me below in the comments.
