Spotted and Dotted

Hey, everyone! I’m squeezing in oneeee more fashion post before I switch to my usual monthly favorites and then my ~NASHVILLE~ trip recap! I am so excited for what’s on the horizon for July: in addition to travel content, I’ll be doing moving content soon! That’s right, I’ve been looking at apartments for the past few days and soon it’ll be time to make the big move to my first *real* adult place. I’ve been waiting for this ever since I graduated from college last year and it’s so so so close to finally happening! Be sure to tune into my Instagram and YouTube for more moving content.

But, I digress…

As you may know, polka dots have had a huge moment in fashion this season.

I got in on the trend with this oversized boxy tee from Zara. FYI, Zara has some of the best tees for the best prices- this one was only $10! I thought that adding my domino purse would be too much for this look, but when I put it on, to my surprise, it looked super cute! I kept things super simple elsewhere and threw on a belt, my girlfriend jeans, and black Converse. In typical Emily fashion, I was able to match my eyeshadow shade exactly to the shirt thanks to my new Rainbow Eyeshadow Palette from Violet Voss.

Shirt: Zara (similar here)

Jeans: Urban Outfitters

Belt: Forever 21

Bag: Etsy

Shoes: Converse

Eyeshadow: Violet Voss

I’ve been trying to grapple with and mesh my old and new senses of style, and I think this look demonstrates that perfectly (old being the crazy domino purse and new being the boxy tee and jeans combo). Have you styled a polka dot piece lately? Has your style shifted recently? Leave your thoughts with me down below in the comments! Love to read your thoughts 💕

💁🏻‍♀️ ya caught me. I’m going to be talking more soon on the blog about how to wear prints! I really love wearing monochrome black and white prints since they still match everything but are more ~fun~ than just say, solid black or white.

Polka dots are such a classic print to have in your wardrobe. I’m normally a black and white gal but I’m loving this yellow. All the summer vibes

Thank you, Annaliese!! The yellow eyeshadow looked different in the pan than it does on skin so I wasn’t sure it would match but voila! It’s perf 💛
