What I’m Buying from the Sephora Spring Sale 2020

what i'm buying from the sephora spring sale

When I left NYC well over a month ago, I didn’t imagine I’d still be away from my apartment, my friends, my office, and literally everywhere else at this point. I only packed my usual travel stash of skincare and makeup, so ya girl is running low on supplies (I’ll be doing an empties post soon about this in more detail). The Sephora Beauty Insider Spring Sale could not have come at a better time, because I am so ready to stock up on my faves!

The Sephora Spring Sale runs through April 27th for Beauty Insiders, April 29th for VIB, and May 1st for VIB Rouge members. If you’re not already a Sephora Insider, I highly recommend signing up – it’s completely free to join. You won’t have access to the Sephora Spring Sale discounts if you’re not an Insider.

What I’m Buying from the Sephora Spring Sale

1. Ole Henriksen Let’s Get Luminous Brightening Essentials Set

Imma let you finish, but Ole Henriksen’s TRUTH skincare products are the greatest of all time (the Origins GinZing line is a close runner up, though). I have SUCH a hard time waking up in the morning (that’s not just a quarantine thing, I’ve always been a sloth), and so I need a freakin’ ZAP to the face with ingredients like vitamin C to get me up and moving. I love buying Ole’s products in value sets because it’s way more cost-effective (shit’s expensive, man). This 3-piece set is a great deal.

2. Bumble and Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Primer

I always have a halo of frizzy hair and it really cramps my style. I asked the lovely people of The Beauty Group on Facebook for frizz-fighting product recommendations, and this Oil Primer from Bumble and Bumble was one of the suggestions. I’m curious to see whether or not it lives up to the hype.

3. Tatcha Silk Peony Melting Eye Cream

I ran out of my mini-sized Kiehl’s avocado eye cream, and while I LOVED IT, I’ve always wanted to try this moisturizing eye cream from Tatcha. It has amazing reviews so I’m super curious! My skin has been dry af and I’m definitely gonna come out of this pandemic with more wrinkles because I’m stressed to the max. Anything that claims to alleviate those two problems is worth an “add to basket” in my book.

4. Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Oil

Every night, I normally use a lavender spray on my pillow before going to bed. I didn’t think to bring my pillow spray when I left NYC, so I’m really missing a lavender-scented item in my life. I’ve tried the Midnight Recovery Oil from Kiehl’s before but I never repurchased it since it’s kind of pricey. I even looked for cheaper alternatives on Amazon and Target and found nothing comparable. So fuck it, I added this to my cart. #desperate.

5. Peter Thomas Roth Mix, Mask & Hydrate Set

Masks anyone? This is another value set that’s a fantastic deal. What else is there to do during quarantine besides watch TV and movies while doing a nice mask? Such a vibe. I cannot wait to try each of these masks from Peter Thomas Roth. I’ve never tried any of his products before, so I’ll let y’all know what I think.

6. Fenty Beauty Glossy Posse Mini Gloss Bomb Set

I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again: Fenty Beauty’s lip glosses are *chef’s kiss.* This Fenty Beauty gloss set is a top-notch steal, believe me. I’m so excited to get all glossed up just for Zoom calls lmao.
