Hey, everyone! The blog has been on a home-décor kick for the first time in ages and I’m diggin’ it. I’m here today to discuss Bare Home. They’re a smaller e-retailer specializing in high quality affordable bedding and sheets– perfect for college move-in/for your new apartment! I know a lot of you guys are either moving into dorms that require twin XL sheets or moving into apartments with full size/queen beds. Either way, Bare Home has got you covered!

The folks at Bare Home were so sweet and sent me this super soft microplush grey twin XL blanket. I had a fuzzy blanket, but upon moving from Chicago to New York, I had to leave it behind because I didn’t have enough room for it in my luggage and I was really upset. However, this one from Bare Home is even SOFTER than my old one! When I’m at home, I’m pretty much always buried under comfy blankets with computer or phone in hand. I’m so excited to keep cozy with this new blanket- the grey looks so chic and will match whatever bedding I have for years to come. The fabric looks expensive but get this- this blanket retails for just $23.99! And, Bare Home offers free shipping on orders over $49.00.

When discussing what kind of collab we were gonna do, it was suggested that I host a giveaway for y’all! I agreed because I haven’t done one in a while, so Bare Home sent me an IDENTICAL blanket to give away!

One lucky winner will be twinning with me 🙂 ! To enter, follow the instructions below and good luck!

Hey, everyone! I’m finally back (I know, long time no see) with a beauty review post! Today I’m talking hair, which, quite frankly, I haven’t really done much of on here. Anyway, you guys all know what my hair normally looks like (straight/wavy-ish on a good day)- so I had a BLAST experimenting with the CHoPstick Styler from Lee Stafford Hair! The rectangular barrel is super skinny and it’s designed to give you super tight 80s style curls.  Now, I am a n00b when it comes to hair curlers,  and I also have thiqq hair, so this was TRULY an experience.

When you purchase the CHoPstick Styler, you get the Styler and also a handy dandy glove so you don’t burn your hand off (the Styler reaches a whopping 400 degrees or so)! The glove fits either your left or right hand, which is fantastic for all you lefties out there like myself. Once you put the glove on and plug it in, you’re ready to start styling!

To use your styler, wrap a strand of hair around the barrel and hold the barrel vertically. The instruction guide says to leave the hair on there for 3-5 seconds, but this is where room for experimentation comes in. Leaving it on there for longer or shorter periods of time will change the curl. Keep going until all of your hair has been done.

Fluff out the strands for a full-bodied, defined look. DON’T brush it out- your hair will become poofy and disheveled, use your fingers to comb through.

My hair grew to at least 3 times its normal size, and even though I have a lot of practicing and experimenting to do, this made for such a fun afternoon. The styler is very high quality and lives up to its promise.  And, surprise!! For those of you who read all the way to the end, I’ve teamed up with Lee Stafford Hair to host a giveaway of the CHoPstick Styler!!! That’s right, you can win one of your own by entering below! The winner will be announced on February 20th. Click the link below to enter and good luck <3
